Deep-fried food at the Minnesota State Fair
The deep fryer is the fair’s other signature format. These are the stands with something on the menu that goes through one.
The 2026 Minnesota State Fair ended on Monday, September 7, 2026. Everything below describes the 2026 fair, which is the most recent one — stands, buildings and rides carry over year to year, but dates, prices and schedules do not. I update it when the fair publishes for 2027.
- 32 stands with a matching item
- 51 matching items in total
- Matched on items recorded fried (51)
- Read from the 2026 menus and new-food list I hold

How was this deep-fried list built?
From the recorded menus, not from the stand names: every stand carrying at least one item tagged fried, across the 8,143 menu items and the 2026 new-food list I hold. A stand is here for one specific item rather than because its whole menu qualifies, which is why the item that matched is named beside it. It also means the list is only as complete as the menus that have been published — a stand that has never listed its ingredients will not appear, however well it would fit. If you know of one that belongs here, send it over and I will add it.
32 listed. Everything here is in the free app too, where it works offline inside the gates. Spotted something wrong? Tell me and I will fix it. MN Fair Guide is independent and not affiliated with the Minnesota State Fair.
