The Minnesota State Fairgrounds hold 190 mapped buildings and landmarks — exhibit halls, livestock barns, stages, gates, restrooms and first aid. They are grouped below by what they are, because on a first visit "where is the Dairy Building" and "where is the nearest restroom" are the same kind of question.

The 2026 Minnesota State Fair ended on Monday, September 7, 2026. Everything below describes the 2026 fair, which is the most recent one — stands, buildings and rides carry over year to year, but dates, prices and schedules do not. I update it when the fair publishes for 2027.

Which buildings are worth going into?

The ones people come back for are the Agriculture Horticulture Building (the crop art and the seed pictures), the Dairy Building (the butter sculptures, carved live), the CHS Miracle of Birth Center, the livestock barns, and the Fine Arts Center. All of them are included with admission and all are on this list with their own page.

How do I find a restroom or first aid?

Both are grouped in the list above — restrooms and first aid have their own sections — and every one of them has a page with its position on the fairgrounds. In the app they are on the map with walking directions, which works with no signal.
