Past the food there are 605 shopping, craft and service booths on the fairgrounds. They are grouped below by the hall each one is in — the Grandstand floors, the International Bazaar, the Education and Home Improvement buildings — because "where is the Merch Market" is the question people actually have, and the street booths follow alphabetically.
The 2026 Minnesota State Fair ended on Monday, September 7, 2026. Everything below describes the 2026 fair, which is the most recent one I hold — stands, buildings and rides carry over year to year, but dates, prices and schedules do not. I update it when the fair publishes for 2027. The 2027 fair runs August 26 – September 6, 2027 — 293 days away.

Where is the shopping at the Minnesota State Fair?
Mostly indoors, and the headings below are in size order so the answer is the first one you read: the Grandstand holds the largest concentration of vendors anywhere on the grounds, then the International Bazaar, the Education Building, the Merch Market, the Home Improvement Building and the Dairy Building. The rest are street booths scattered among the food, and each carries the corner it stands on.
What counts as a booth here?
Everything the fair lists that is not food or drink — crafts, clothing, home goods, services, non-profits, government agencies and the political booths. They are grouped by hall rather than by what they sell, because the fair does not publish a consistent category for them and inventing one would put things in drawers they do not belong in. The hall comes from each booth’s own published location, so a booth whose listing does not name one is under "Out on the streets" rather than filed somewhere it might not be.
