O'Gara's at the Fair

A corner bar tradition at Dan Patch & Cosgrove. Irish-inspired pub fare, Minnesota craft beers, live music, and a bagpiper. The original O'Gara's St. Paul bar on Snelling Ave closed in November 2019 after 77 years, but this fair outpost continues as their primary location.

The 2026 Minnesota State Fair ended on Monday, September 7, 2026. Everything below describes the 2026 fair, which is the most recent one I hold — stands, buildings and rides carry over year to year, but dates, prices and schedules do not. I update it when the fair publishes for 2027. The 2027 fair runs August 26 – September 6, 2027 — 293 days away.

  • Lemon Berry Blitz Slushie New Mixed berries meet lemonade in this frozen feature inspired by a popular energy drink. Bursting with sweet-tart character and blended to icy perfection – the ultimate refreshment for warm days and good vibes. (Gluten-removed) 4.8% ABV. Brewed in Stillwater, Minn., by Lift Bridge Brewing Company.
