Union Hmong Kitchen
Union Hmong Kitchen is Chef Yia Vang's restaurant featuring Hmong culture, stories, rituals, foods and flavors, marrying local traditions with those from South and Eastern Asia. It has closed its Minneapolis dining rooms in Uptown and the North Loop, and as of 2025 operates at the Minnesota State Fair each summer, with sister restaurant Vinai in Northeast Minneapolis. Union Hmong Kitchen was a James Beard "Best New Restaurant" nominee in 2021.
