The Jerky Shoppe
The Jerky Shoppe started in 1988 as a privately owned full-service meat market in Maple Grove, Minnesota, called Maple Grove Meats, then shifted its focus to state fairs, sportsman's shows and other large community events across the upper Midwest. It uses only skinless, boneless portions of top round beef and turkey breast, which it says makes its jerky and meat sticks a naturally low-calorie, low-fat snack. Now based in Big Lake, the company has also expanded into popcorn snacks under its Big Pop brand.
