Giggles' Campfire Grill

Tim "Giggles" Weiss and his friend Doug Holter founded Giggles' Campfire Grill in 2000, and it opened for its inaugural Minnesota State Fair in August of that year. The family-owned stand specializes in fresh, made-from-scratch Minnesota fish and game dishes with homemade sauces and toppings, served from a log-cabin building themed after Minnesota's north woods. It says it now serves more than 100,000 fairgoers a year and has grown into one of the fair's top five food concessions.

Everything below describes the 2026 fair, which is the most recent one I hold — stands, buildings and rides carry over year to year, but dates, prices and schedules do not. I update it when the fair publishes for 2027. The 2027 fair runs August 26 – September 6, 2027 — 293 days away.
